Our Client is a global pharmaceutical company.

The role:

As a Business Analytics Lead you will be  responsible for data projects, providing insightful data analysis and suggesting the best use of data to identify trends, patterns, issues to Business Leaders to achieve their strategic goals.

Person in this role should be an expert in data driven culture and educate organization on the value of data-driven approach. Understanding Procurement & Finance processes and policies, as well as knowing leading market practices are key to succeed in this position. What is more, having strong communication skills is essential as Business Analytics Lead will build relationships with Procurement & Finance organizations at all levels and liaise with partners or senior stakeholders (including Executive Management) in some instances. The candidate will  pay a key role in the strategic data related projects  and empower data culture.


Reporting line:  Process Excellence & Transformation Senior Manager

Scope: Europe, USA, NA

Team: 2 people

KPI’s: quality of data and reporting, timeliness



Key Responsibilities:

Taking a key part in data related projects (currently source to pay area), generating valuable data insights and suggesting the best use of data to identify root causes, trends, patterns, issues and concerns that should be highlighted to Business Leaders

  • Further contributing to decision-making on key issues by framing next level questions arising from the analysis, formulating and validating hypotheses, and developing options and scenarios
  • Acting as data analytics expert for internal stakeholders, by actively participating in and influencing discussions around data structure, data processing and reporting needs in order to support business decisions and process improvements
  • Gathering data related business requirements and translating them into detailed, unambiguous, business and functional requirements
  • Partnering with leadership team in order to implement a data-driven culture across the organization, suggesting market leading practices related to business analysis & data utilization
  • Designing and developing data management operating models (various domains like data governance, quality, architecture);
  • Managing Data Analytics team: recruitment, performance management, motivation, personal development and coaching
  • Pro-actively engaging, manage and build strong relationships with both business and technology stakeholders
  • Being responsible for the quality of reporting, by ensuring high quality, transparency and completeness of data

Qualifications: 

  • University degree in  a quantitative discipline - Finance, Mathematics or Statistics would be an advantage
  • At least 5 years of experience in data analytics field including data interpretation (finance or procurement area)
  • Experience in data analytics projects;
  • Experience and/or drive to manage data analytics teams;
  • Knowledge of SAP, Ariba, Concur, VIM and procurement & finance processes would be an asset;
  • Business acumen, as well as global and cultural awareness;
  • Experience in senior stakeholder management;
  • Advanced Microsoft suite knowledge and experience, especially advanced excel skills (other analytical tools would be an asset);
  • English at C1 level
  • Strong attention to details and data quality and a strong drive to use data to answer business questions

  • Self-driven and independent
  • „Can-do’ attitude
