Our Client is one of the leading, pioneering procurement service provider in Europe. They provide strategic procurement solutions to get C-class, MRO and indirect materials with the right quality and price, to the right place at the right time.

The role: Strategic Buyer/ Project Coordinator is directly responsible and accountable for the overall management of the local implementation team, the project finance, progress and on-time delivery, while being the central point of contact to the assigned customer. He/she operates in close collaboration with all the team members for optimum customer satisfaction and alignment with the agreed business processes and service levels during the implementation and later on during the operational phase. After the implementation Strategic Buyer/ Project Coordinator manages the local operational and Service delivery team members across the total supply chain (VMI, sourcing, technical support, Quality, IT, HR, procurement and accounting) in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. He/she is accountable for the quality and the sustainability of the service delivery team. He/she will ensure the resolution and corrective action management of the supply chain issues and communicating the lessons learned during the QBR and Steering Committees.

Key activities:

• Understanding the local and central procurement strategies (based on following requirements: availability, safety, environmental, quality and cost).

• Understanding the challenges of the customer’s end users by analyzing, observation and communication, resulting in advices to improve the procurement and communication process.

• Managing and coaching the local operational and central team members across the total supply chain (VMI, sourcing, technical support, Quality, IT, HR, procurement and accounting) in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.

• Ensuring that the corrective actions of the exception management process are implemented.

• Maintaining and guarding confidentiality of information obtained during the course of the project.

• Planning and organization the workload to meet the agreed schedules, timelines and service levels.

• Initiating an monitoring cost reduction programs (TCO).

• Monitoring and improve systems utilization and procedures (focus on automation).

• Analyzing and managing supply chain risks per country.

Requirements:

• Min. 4 years of strategic procurement experience within an international environment .

• Category/ commodity management experience (direct materials or MRO and Capex - technical affinity is a must).

• Successful tract record on delivering TCO reduction KPI’s .

• Experience in development and implementation of the LEAN/6Sigma methodology would be a plus.

• University degree (engineering or business).

• Good knowledge of: Word, Excel and project management tools.

• Good knowledge of: ERP tools - purchasing and maintenance modules (e.g. SAP, Dynamics, MfgPro, Maximo, …)

• Fluent communication skill in English and Polish language to communicate with customer contacts, teams members and stakeholders both orally and in writing (additional languages is a plus).

• Be able to communicate clearly with different functions of an organization.

• Be able to train and follow up team members in the effective and efficient execution of processes.

• Flexible and pro-active analytical and problem solving attitude.

• Good diplomatic negotiator using arguments based on technical knowledge.

• People leadership (day to day or project) would be a plus.

• Work independently with limited supervision, achieving targets and deadlines.

• Planning and organizational abilities.

• Problem identification, analyzing and solving mindset.

• Starting date – beginning of November.
