Project Buyer (direct materials) Location: Podkarpackie Ref.  PL19- R102 – S02

 

Our Client is a  leading manufacturer of highly engineered critical components and customized technology solutions for the energy, transportation and industrial markets.

The role

As a Project Buyer   you will be responsible executing purchasing projects. You will be responsible for direct materials such as: forging, castings, turned parts, raw materials. You will work in close collaboration with  Regional category managers, Inbound Logistics , Inbound Quality (SQE’s), R&D, Production Technology, Cost Down Engineering.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Group Purchasing Director  you will be mostly responsible for:

executing procurement projects with dedicated cross functional team supporting on cross functional projects as procurement project participant participating in identifying, building and executing divisional KPI pipeline driving the implementation of procurement projects (direct savings, supplier consolidation etc.) as project participant, participate in cross-functional project teams to execute activities/projects using PDP/FPP tools for project management supporting on facilitating technical cost-down activities in region on product and code number level with the support from divisional DBS driving make/buy projects as Project Manager with dedicated resources

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

 

  • BA degree
  • minimum 3 years of procurement related experience from a manufacturing industry

  • expert analytic and systematic skills
  • continuous improvement experience
  • experience in having the “Customer in focus”
  • basic ability to understand product drawings and specifications
  • strong negotiation skills
  • strong team player with good people skills and a good ability to impact different stakeholders on different levels in the organization
  • high personal drive and is result oriented
  • must be able to prioritize
  • proactive approach
  • fluent English - spoken and written, fluent Polish
